Unique Early Childhood Programs

MIXED-AGE AM AND PM PRE-SCHOOL

Our popular, mixed-age pre-school classes for three’s, four’s, and five’s stimulate young children’s intellectual curiosity and creativity. The play based curriculum is literacy rich and full of activities that recognize different developmental needs, learning styles, and interests.

Our curriculum is carefully crafted to provide a literate environment that helps children to develop skills in oral language and phonemic awareness, and includes small group opportunities for artistic expression, technology explorations, and science experiments. Positive expectations, encouragement, and approval help build self-esteem and foster a genuine love of learning.

Children enrolling in our program do not have to be potty trained, but need to be working toward this developmental milestone.

Pembroke Kids offers individualized scheduling to families.  You may choose to enroll your child for as few as 2, or as many as 9 sessions each week, in either the morning or afternoon. Various combinations are possible, but a minimum of 2 days per week is required, and must be scheduled on different days.  Full days for older children require the permission of the Director. Though spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, we make every effort to accommodate your requests. Note: There are no afternoon classes on Fridays.

PARENT-TODDLER PROGRAM

If you’re concerned about your toddler’s feelings of separation when starting school, we have a way to make mom and/or dad a part of the school experience during this special stage of development. Our shared school experience is offered through weekly classes for small groups of parents and toddlers to ease the transition to a preschool learning environment. This is a wonderful opportunity to build relationships with teachers and set the stage for a stress free adjustment to classroom routines and activities. Friday mornings for an hour and a half.

YOUNG 3’s

This is a small, safe and nurturing class for young three year olds born between August and December 31^st. Classes meet two days a week and are designed especially for the needs of your young three.

Positive expectations, encouragement, and approval help build self-esteem and foster a genuine love of learning. The play based curriculum is full of activities that recognize different developmental needs, learning styles, and interests. Our teachers provide a literacy rich environment that helps children to develop skills in oral language and phonemic awareness.

Children enrolling in our program do not have to be potty trained.
