Spring has Sprung!!!
After a nice week off of school thanks to Spring break, we are all back to school routines. April is shaping up to be a very busy yet fun month! The weather is getting warmer which means no more winter coats, gloves, boots, hats, etc 🙂 The children and teachers alike are enjoying the nicer weather outside.
We had so much fun with our color week, especially looking at the class at meeting time and seeing everyone wearing that particular color. Thank you for your participation. Our first week of Cooking/Nutrition was a big success with yummy dishes like pancakes and sausage, pudding, stone soup, and applesauce. This is our second week of Cooking and we will be enjoying S’mores, cinnamon roll waffles, pizza, fruit salad, and homemade pretzels. We have also talked about the food pyramid groups and our favorite foods.  Please take some time at mealtimes to reinforce healthy nutrition to your son or daughter.  For math, we introduced coins, both recognition and value.
Our next two weeks we will focus on Spring and the changes we see in nature. Our theme after that will be Ocean where we will begin our ocean mural in the hall.

Some important dates to jot down:

Muffins with Mom will be held Tuesday, April 23 or Wednesday, April 24. Please check your child’s book bag for that special invitation!

Our second annual Art Show will be held on Friday, April 26 from 12:00 to 6:00.

An all-school field trip to the Natural History Museum is scheduled for Monday, April 29th. There will be NO school that day.

Enjoy the Springtime weather!!
