Events, dates, and Fun Happenings at Pembroke Kids!

All the Pembroke staff is seriously hoping the worst of winter is behind us! Even we have had enough snow days! That being said, March is a very long month with no days off. In order to make it interesting we have decided to have a bit of fun this month with some festive events.

We will begin by celebrating Silly Dress-Up Week during the week of March 14th. Monday, March 14th and Tuesday, March 15th will be Crazy Hat Days. Wednesday, March 16th and Thursday, March 17th will be celebrated as “Green Days”, and Friday, March 17th will be a wild day where everyone is encouraged to wear a wacky mixture of polka dots and stripes together! Parents, staff, and children are all encouraged to participate. Why not join the fun?

Our next event is Donuts with Dad! We had such fun last year that we decided to celebrate again. Time for Dad, or a special friend, to visit class and participate in the events of the day. Morning preschool classes will celebrate Donuts with Dad Tuesday, March 29th and Wednesday, March 30th from 11:00 to 11:45 AM. Children may leave with their Dad at the end of the celebration. Afternoon preschool classes will celebrate Tuesday and Wednesday March 29th and March 30th from 2:00 to 2:45 PM. Kindergarten will celebrate Wednesday March 30th from 2:00 to 2:45 P.M. Children may leave with their Dad at the conclusion of the festivities.

Our next special event is an adult only opportunity. Liz Pirnat, a Pembroke parent, is teaching a wine tasting Wednesday evening from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Nemo Grille in Avon . This tasty, educational event is a fun, rare adult only event where we can gather as a community and have a good time, learn a bit about wine and each other! Steve and I are looking forward to sharing good wine and hors d’oeuvre with our Pembroke community. Participants are limited to 30. Tickets are available in the office. Please see Steve or Andrea.

… A current parent is looking for another parent to transport her kindergartener home (to North Ridgeville) 3 days a week next school year. Willing to reimburse or to swap carpool days. Will provide a booster seat. Please contact Andrea in the office if you are interested or know someone who may be.
